Sister UP! of Michigan is a little bitty non-profit located in a small town in the middle of Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
We help women obtain lymphedema compression sleeves, post breast cancer.

If you have recently had breast surgery, you should be doing your doctor recommended gentle daily stretching, as part of post-breast surgery recovery. Sometimes it's hard to get started with an at-home exercise program, or by the time we get home, we have forgotten what we were supposed to do, considering our overwhelming circumstances at the time. For those reasons, Kim Spranger, MSPT and Danielle Haanpaa, RN BSN, who are professionals at UP Health System Marquette, and I, created this video to help women begin their journey to wellness, after breast cancer surgery/treatment.

These are simple exercises that you can do at home. If it seems overwhelming, just start with one...but please start. Stretching and moving the body is essential in the healing process post breast surgery. #youcandothis
*Please Note: exercise should begin 3 to 7 days post surgery but remember to
get the OK from your doctor to start.
